Taj the Pierre offers 189 rooms and 49 suites. Suites with terraces are available to rent for private parties. All rooms and suites have been transformed to offer a warm luxurious atmosphere that gives its occupants the impression of being at home. The very high ceilings and an abundance of natural light give the impression of immense space, complimented by the new decoration. The soft tones vary between ivory, taupe, coral orange and blue and contrast with the wooden elements and padded leather headboards. The silk and brocard fabrics of the furniture, seen on the luxurious cushions, drapes and canopies give it an elegant attitude, while the rugs guarantee a serious comfort and excellent acoustics. In the suites, the living room also offers a palette of soft colours that flow over the sumptuous couches and armchairs, and on the wooden furniture (table, desk). They are classically inspired and are equipped with a Bose “home cinema.” The decorative fireplace is adorned with architectural details that have been restored to match the ceiling mouldings and the original window frames. Certain suites can accommodate up to six rooms and can have multiple keys to suit the needs of large families, businesspeople and state officials. At the end of 2009, The Pierre will open up all of its renovated suites, including two with a landscaped terrace, capable of hosting splendid gatherings.
